Half-elves are found in very small numbers in most regions of Ghelspad, but are more likely to be found in areas like Amalthea and the Bridged City, even there they are not especially common they are more numerous than just about anywhere else.
Things are more difficult for the half-elves of Termana, the majority of whom descend from the forsaken elves. Cursed by the titan Chem in the latter days of the Divine War, elves from Termana are unable to bear healthy children; some desperate elves have been known to steal human infants (belonging to settlers brought to Termana as part of Virduk‘s Promise), raising them among the elves to serve as breeding stockso as to perpetuate the elves’ own dying bloodlines. Though they have difficulty finding acceptance among either humans or elves, these half-elves do have considerable value in conflicts, and as such find ready acceptance among the legions of King Virduk. This of course upsets the elves who bred the half-elves to begin with but since the forsaken elves treat their offspring like half-breed lepers it should come as no surprise that the half-elves seek their fortunes elsewhere.
Half-Elf Racial Traits
+2 to One Ability Score: Half-elf characters get a +2 bonus to one ability score of their choice at creation to represent their varied nature.
Medium: Half-elves are Medium creatures and have no bonuses or penalties due to their size.
Normal Speed: Half-elves have a base speed of 30 feet.
Low-Light Vision: Half-elves can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light. They retain the ability to distinguish colour and detail under these conditions. See Chapter 7 Pathfinder RPG.
Adaptability: Half-elves receive Skill Focus as a bonus feat at 1st level.
Elf Blood: Half-elves count as both elves and humans for any effect related to race.
Elven Immunities: Half-elves are immune to magic sleep effects and get a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells and effects. Although half-elves require sleep, they retain the elven resistance to these effects.
Keen Senses: Half-elves receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception skill checks.
Multitalented: Half-elves choose two favoured classes at first level and gain +1 hit point or +1 skill point whenever they take a level in either one of those classes. See Chapter 3 for more information about favoured classes.
Automatic Languages: Ledean and Elven.
Bonus Languages: Any non-secret language.
